Rodrigo Mattos Assunção

CEO

Rodrigo has been with Cornélio Brennand Group since 2018. He joined as CFO and also led the Strategy and New Business areas. In March 2022, Rodrigo assumed the presidency of Atiaia Renováveis. 

Graduated in Economics and Accounting, Rodrigo has 21 years of experience in the financial, strategic planning, marketing and human resources areas, having worked at large companies such as Solar Coca-Cola and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Manuel Gonçalves Martins​

Director of Operations and Maintenance

Electrical engineer Manuel Martins is responsible for the Operations and Maintenance Directorate at Atiaia Renováveis. He joined Cornélio Brennand Group in 2004, the same year that Atiaia, the Group’s energy company, was born.

Manuel has over 40 years of experience in the electrical sector, working in the areas of construction, planning and engineering, operations and maintenance of electrical systems. Manuel has an MBA in Business Management, with an emphasis on Finance.

Silvio Andrade

Engineering Director​

Silvio has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pernambuco (UPE) and an MBA in Financial Management, Controlling and Auditing from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).

He has 28 years of experience in leadership positions and his career includes stints at highly relevant companies in the sector, where he held roles as Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director and Construction Superintendent. Furthermore, he worked as an expatriate in Africa, leading important projects in countries such as Benin and Tanzania, expanding his expertise in international expansion.

Regiane Yamanaka

Director of Energy Marketing and Institutional Affairs

Regiane Yamanaka joined Atiaia Renováveis ​​in 2020 as Market Intelligence Manager and, in 2023, assumed the role of Energy Commercialization Manager. In 2025, she became the Director of Energy Commercialization and Institutional Affairs, reinforcing the company’s commitment to renewable solutions, strategic communication, and institutional relationships with clients and partners.

With a degree in Business Administration and over 20 years of experience in the electricity sector, the executive brings a career marked by work at the Chamber of Electric Energy Commercialization (CCEE) and large companies in the sector.

Ivan Nord

Regulatory and New Business Director

Ivan has been with Atiaia Renewables since 2011 and currently serves as Regulatory and New Business Director. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Energy Systems, an MBA in Energy, and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

With over 25 years of experience in the electricity sector in regulatory and electrical engineering areas, Ivan has worked on studies, projects, construction, operation, and maintenance of power systems and small hydroelectric plants (PCHs). In the last 14 years dedicated to Atiaia Renewables, he has held key roles, such as Operations Manager and Senior Manager of Regulatory and New Business, accumulating in-depth knowledge of the sector and our company.

Sérgio Posternak

Planning and Management Manager

Sergio is the Planning and Management Manager at Atiaia Renováveis. The business administrator joined the Cornélio Brennand Group in 1993 and actively participated in the creation of Atiaia Renováveis, in 2004. 

Sergio has a specialization in Organizational Planning and Management and also an MBA in Financial Management, Controllership and Auditing.

Manoel Vieira

Director of Engineering and Construction

Manoel is Director of Engineering and Construction at Atiaia Renováveis ​​and has been with Cornélio Brennand Group since 2012. Graduated in Electrical Engineering, he has more than 40 years of experience in the field of engineering, project management and construction of renewable energy generation plants.

Before joining Atiaia, Manoel worked in the operation and maintenance of plants in the sugar-alcohol market; and also in projects, equipment manufacturing and construction of thermal and hydroelectric plants.

Paulina Sarubbi Cysneiros

Director of People and Sustainability

With a degree in International Relations and an MBA in Business Management from FGV, she has been with the Group since 2013, when she joined as Communication and Marketing Manager at Iron House.

Subsequently, Paulina was Family Governance Manager, where, in 2019, she made significant achievements such as the creation of Proa (Shareholder Training Program), and for the last five years she was responsible for the ESG area, which she structured and participated in important forums such as the Steering Committee of the HUB ODS PE (local unit of the UN Global Compact) and the Presidency of the ESG Committee of AMCHAM PE.

Leonardo da Matta​

Legal Director​

Leonardo has been with Cornélio Brennand Group since 2011. Previously, he worked at Claro as head of the tax legal department and was also in renowned law firms in São Paulo and Recife.

Graduated in Law, postgraduate in civil procedural law and master in business law.

Alberto Silveira​

Director of Finance and Strategic Planning

With more than 15 years at Cornélio Brennand Group, Alberto leads the Financial and Strategic Planning department.

Previously, he served as controllership superintendent at Vivix Vidros Planos and financial director at Cimento Bravo, both companies of the Group. He holds a degree in Accounting Sciences and an MBA in Financial Management and Auditing and also in Project Management.

Innovation Leader

Sergio is the innovation leader of the Cornélio Brennand Group and also a member of the Board of the Brain Institute (Grupo Algar), the SENAI Institute for ICT Innovation and professor at the UFPE Informatics Center.

Sergio has a PhD in electronics since 1997, has two product patents, was the CEO of CESAR, founder of CESAR School and the accelerator CESAR Labs, member of the Board of AmCham Brasil and president of the Board of AmCham Recife, advisor to Porto Digital, Softex – Recife, president of the Board of ARIES – Recife Innovation and Strategy Agency and several startups, as well as director of coordination with companies of the Brazilian Computing Society.
